Founded by Dr. Aris Thorne, Momentum Energy began with a single mission: to break the theoretical limits of photovoltaic cell efficiency. Our early years were spent in the lab, funded by research grants and a small seed round. We focused entirely on the science, culminating in the creation of the Helios panel technology, which holds the current world record for energy conversion efficiency in a commercially available residential panel. We are, first and foremost, a company built on a foundation of technical excellence.

PhD in Materials Science from Stanford University. Lead author on 12 peer-reviewed papers on photovoltaic efficiency. Holder of 6 core technology patents.
M.S. in Electrical Engineering from MIT. Previously a senior research scientist at a national energy lab. Expert in battery chemistry and power electronics.
